As a versatile publishing professional with more than 20 years of experience, I just love everything about bookmaking.
My career began in managing editorial: I’ve been a proofreader, copyeditor, production editor, and managing editor. For the past decade, I’ve worked in book packaging, doing proposal development, project management, developmental editing, and writing for some of the biggest publishers in the U.S.
Employers have included Hachette Book Group, Barnes & Noble Publishing/SparkNotes, becker&mayer!, and Girl Friday Productions. Clients have included Black Dog & Leventhal, Sesame Street, Running Press, Quarto, HMH, Scholastic, PRH, and more.
In addition to my day jobs, I write. I have authored about 20 kids’ nonfiction titles as L. J. Tracosas, have published inspirational guided journals under my name, and have ghostwritten sections of books for busy professionals.
I make books in memory of my son Miles, who was killed in 2018.
